The experience of a lifetime!
Four days of epic roads, coastlines and countryside
The Cannon Run Ireland Run 2026 Driving Holiday offers an unforgettable four-day adventure across the entire length of Ireland— from the industrial-luxe streets of Belfast, along the world-famous Causeway Coast, deep into the wilds of the Wild Atlantic Way, and all the way south to a finish-line celebration in Cork.
We'll take in some of the finest driving roads in the British Isles — the Antrim Coast Road, the Erris Peninsula, Connemara, the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, Killarney National Park, Moll's Gap and the mighty Beara Peninsula — all rolled into one carefully curated route, with 4-star hotels, a legendary awards night at Dirty Nellies in Bunratty, and unforgettable company along the way.
Whether it's your first Cannon Run or you're back for more, the Ireland Run 2026 will deliver five days of breathtaking scenery, world-class driving roads and the trademark Cannon Run hospitality that keeps our family coming back year after year.
THE COUNTDOWN IS ON
TIME UNTIL RUN

// DAY ONE //
Belfast to Bundoran
Kicking off the adventure at Belfast's legendary Titanic Slipways, we head north onto the iconic Antrim Coast Road — one of the finest driving roads in the British Isles, with freshly resurfaced tarmac and the Irish Sea unfolding on our right. The route sweeps through the Glens of Antrim to Ballintoy Harbour, past the Giant's Causeway, and stops for lunch at the historic Bushmills Inn.
From there we cross the border into the Wild
Atlantic Way, dropping down through Derry and Donegal to our first overnight in Bundoran — a 4-star surf town on the wild Donegal coast where Day 1 comes to a memorable close with sea air, live trad music and a proper pint on Main Street.

// DAY TWO //
Bundoran to Westport
Day 2 opens with a sweeping run south from Bundoran along the Wild Atlantic Way, tracing the Yeats country surf coast through Sligo, Easky and Ballina before heading deep into County Mayo. From Crossmolina we push west into the wilds of the Erris Peninsula — some of the loneliest and most spectacular coastal roads Ireland has to offer — skirting the edge of Wild Nephin National Park and the untouched Atlantic seaboard.
The route winds back east along the N59 through Mulranny and Newport, dropping into Westport with Croagh Patrick — Mayo's iconic pilgrimage mountain — filling the windscreen on the final approach. Day 2 ends in Westport with fresh Atlantic seafood, a proper pint on Bridge Street, and a nightcap of live trad at the legendary Matt Molloy's — one of Ireland's finest music pubs.

// DAY THREE //
Westport to Shannon
Day 3 rolls south out of Westport into the
Connemara countryside, tracing the shores of Lough Corrib to Cong — the picture-perfect village where John Wayne filmed The Quiet Man — before crossing into County Clare. From there we drop onto the R477, the Wild Atlantic Way's spectacular Burren coastal road, sweeping past the lunar limestone landscapes and the world-famous Cliffs of Moher.
The route continues south through Lahinch and Ennistymon before rolling into Shannon, where Day 3 ends with our showpiece
awards evening at the legendary Dirty Nellies in Bunratty village. Expect a hosted drinks reception, live trad music, and the Cannon Run trophies handed out to the drivers of the run — the night everyone talks about long after the finish line.

// DAY FOUR //
Shannon to Cork
The final day is the driver's day. Leaving Shannon behind, we sweep south through Adare — one of Ireland's prettiest villages — and on into the heart of County Kerry, where the mountains and lakes of Killarney National Park open up in front of us. From there it's the descent through Moll's Gap into Kenmare, before the mighty Beara Peninsula and Glengarriff deliver the trip's finest coastal driving.
The route winds east through Macroom and into Cork, where our finish-line celebration marks the memorable close of an unforgettable four-day Cannon Run Ireland adventure. Champagne, group photos,
sponsor moments — and every driver crossing the line with a story to take home.
